California is one of the most famous areas of the world, thanks to Hollywood. That, alone, is enough reason for a trip down here.
California occupies the mid-western coast of the USA. Mountain ranges ran parallel to the Pacific Ocean and this creates an amazing diversity in geography, climate and flora&fauna. The climate is generally similar to Mediterranean patterns but that's only on the coastline. While the coast is open for enjoying sea&sun all year round, the charming nature of Lake Tahoe goes under snow cover and is available for skiing in winter. The desert district is boiling in summer and freezing in winter whereas the National Parks of California are the home to both the tallest tree (Hyperion in Redwood National Park) and largest tree (General Sherman in Sequoia National Park) in the world. Surprising isn't it?
California has always been a center of attention for people. Again thanks to Hollywood and western genre, we all know the gold rush of mid 19th century. Today, there are a bunch of developed, cosmopolitan metropolis, Los Angeles and San Fransisco being the most popular. These cities have amazing sights too. The Golden Gate and cable cars of San Fransisco are postcard images. Hills of Hollywood offer a marvelous sight of the buzzing city of L.A. These multi-cultural cities have a lot to offer in urban tourism and are among the most laid back communities of the world. Out on the countryside, the serenity of National Parks will strip your mind of all stress.
There are many activities offered in different regions of this state. The coasts are very suitable for water sports while the hills and National Parks present spectacular routes for trekking. Yosemite National Park is our favorite. You will find golf clubs all around the state and let's not forget the famous all-family theme park attractions such as Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Universal Studios. Mojave Desert is suitable for recently rising-in-popularity desert tourism.
Make enough time to discover all about California. Diversity is beyond limits. The more you explore California, the less you'll want to leave.
