Ketchikan Creek is used as a fish camp and is called “kitschkhin,” meaning creek of the “thundering wings of an eagle.” After World War II, Ketchikan became a supply center for area logging. From Ketchikan International Airport, there is a 7 minute ferry ride to Revillagigedo Island. The Narrows has a courtesy van service from the ferry terminal on the Ketchikan side to the hotel.
